Integration Developer – BankFusion Equation & IBM i Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Integration Developer with deep expertise in BankFusion Equation core banking and IBM i/AS400 technologies. The role involves designing, customizing, and maintaining Equation applications while ensuring seamless integration with a range of banking channels and third‑party systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and enhance applications within the BankFusion Equation core banking suite.
• Perform hands‑on development on IBM i / AS400 platforms using RPGLE, CLLE, Free Format RPG, SQLRPGLE and DB2/400.
• Create and maintain Equation User Exits, APIs, input functions and customizations.
• Provide production support, troubleshoot incidents, and manage end‑of‑day (EOD) operations.
• Support version upgrades, migrations, patches and implementation activities.
• Develop middleware programs and integrate IBM MQ/MQ Series, ATM, SWIFT and other third‑party banking interfaces.
• Extract, analyse and report data from DB2/400 based on business requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation, specifications and support procedures.

Required profile

• 13+ years of experience in IBM i / AS400 development, support and maintenance.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with BankFusion Equation core banking solutions.
• Proven background in banking or financial institutions, preferably within the GCC region.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
