IT Bid Engineer – Qatar

About the role

The IT Bid Engineer supports the preparation, coordination and submission of competitive technical and commercial bids for IT solutions and services. Acting as a bridge between sales, technical teams, vendors and finance, the role ensures bid responses are timely, compliant and aligned with client requirements and company strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse RFPs, RFQs and ITTs to capture technical, commercial and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with technical teams to develop solution architectures, bill of quantities and technical inputs.
• Prepare and consolidate bid documents, including technical proposals, compliance matrices and pricing support.
• Support commercial costing activities such as margin calculations, OPEX/CAPEX models and pricing templates.
• Liaise with OEMs and vendors (e.g., Cisco, Dell, Fortinet, Palo Alto, VMware) to obtain quotations, datasheets and certifications.
• Maintain bid schedules, track actions and follow up with internal stakeholders.
• Assist in risk assessment, assumptions and clarifications, and support post‑submission activities.
• Ensure bid documentation complies with company quality standards and governance processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in bid management, presales or proposal engineering within an IT/ICT environment.
• Strong understanding of networking, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud and data‑center solutions.
• Familiarity with RFP/RFQ processes in enterprise or government sectors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and organisational skills.
