IT Governance, Risk and Compliance Specialist

About the role

An experienced IT Governance, Risk and Compliance professional is sought to strengthen the organisation's IT governance framework, manage technology-related risks and ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the IT governance framework, policies, procedures and control library in line with COBIT.
• Conduct IT risk assessments, identify control gaps and maintain the IT risk register.
• Coordinate IT audits, facilitate audit activities and monitor timely remediation of audit findings.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and company standards.
• Develop and maintain IT governance documentation, risk reports and compliance assessments.
• Report governance, risk and compliance matters to management and recommend mitigation measures.
• Support continuous improvement of IT controls and governance practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in IT governance, risk management, compliance or IT audit.
• Certifications: CISA or CRISC, and COBIT 2019 Foundation.
• Experience in IT audit management, policy development and compliance monitoring.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks, risk management methodologies and IT control environments.
• Familiarity with IT general controls (ITGCs), including SOX-style control environments.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
