L2/L3 SOC Analyst

About the role

Linnk Group is recruiting an experienced L2/L3 SOC Analyst for its client's cybersecurity team in Qatar, based in Doha. The position is on a yearly renewable contract and focuses on incident response, penetration testing, security assessments and web application security testing, with hands-on experience with Microsoft Security solutions and Microsoft Defender.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, handling L2/L3 escalations.
• Analyze incidents, detect threats, perform root cause analysis and remediation.
• Carry out penetration testing, vulnerability assessments and security testing.
• Perform web application security testing to find and fix vulnerabilities.
• Use Microsoft Security Suite and Microsoft Defender for threat detection, investigation and response.
• Analyze security alerts, logs and indicators of compromise.
• Support threat hunting, incident containment and recovery.
• Work with security, infrastructure and application teams to improve the security posture.

Required profile

• 5-8 years of experience in SOC operations, incident response and cybersecurity.
• Strong hands-on experience in L2/L3 incident handling and response.
• Experience in penetration testing, vulnerability assessment and web application security testing.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Security solutions, especially Microsoft Defender.
• Preferred certifications: OSCP and CEH.
