About the role

The Laundry Presser works within the Housekeeping & Laundry department of a luxury hotel, ensuring that all laundry and dry‑cleaning items are processed efficiently and to the highest quality standards. This full‑time, onsite position involves handling soiled items, operating machinery, and maintaining accurate records.

Key responsibilities

• Remove and separate soiled laundry from chutes or housekeeping carts.
• Operate washing, dry‑cleaning, and drying machines according to company standards.
• Apply appropriate stain treatments based on fabric type.
• Maintain accurate logs of loads, items washed, and dry‑cleaning poundage.
• Transport washed articles to dryers and load them correctly.
• Clean dryer screens, dry‑cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load.
• Monitor chemical levels and report any pump issues.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies.
• Inspect equipment for defects and report maintenance problems.

Required profile

• No high school diploma or GED required.
• No prior related work experience necessary.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
• Capability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 25 lb without assistance.
• Comfort working in narrow, confined, or elevated spaces and on uneven surfaces.
• Willingness to follow safety training and maintain confidentiality.
