Lifeguard – Hotel City Center

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Lifeguard to join the recreation team at our city‑center hotel in Doha. You will be the primary safety resource for all water‑based and leisure activities, ensuring guests enjoy a fun and secure environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor pools, beach area, game rooms, fitness centre and children’s activity zones, enforcing safety rules and regulations.
• Provide information about recreational facilities and encourage guest participation.
• Register, schedule and promote recreational programmes and private group events.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, administer first‑aid assistance, and coordinate with emergency medical services.
• Handle point‑of‑sale transactions, process payments for equipment rentals, facility use and retail sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of all recreational areas, equipment and supplies.
• Report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions to management and complete required safety training.
• Deliver courteous guest service, assist individuals with disabilities and uphold company appearance standards.

Required profile

• Strong awareness of safety procedures and ability to act decisively in emergency situations.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor when interacting with guests.
• Physical ability to stand, walk or swim for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb unassisted.
• Team‑oriented attitude with the capacity to support colleagues in achieving common goals.

Required skills

• Operation of POS (point‑of‑sale) systems for cash handling and transaction processing.
• Basic first‑aid and water‑rescue certification.
