LV Switchgear Testing & Commissioning Technician

About the role

MIRAN SOLUTIONS is recruiting experienced Testing & Commissioning Technicians for one of its client companies in Qatar. The technician is responsible for testing, inspection and commissioning of LV panels and switchgear before delivery or installation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning of LV switchgear and electrical panels.
• Conduct insulation resistance and continuity tests.
• Perform functional and electrical testing of panel components and circuits.
• Verify control wiring, power wiring and component connections.
• Test breakers, contactors, relays, meters and other electrical components.
• Review electrical drawings and testing procedures.
• Identify, troubleshoot and rectify wiring or functional issues.
• Record test results and prepare testing documentation.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, assembly and engineering teams.
• Ensure panels comply with approved drawings, specifications and applicable standards.

Required profile

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in LV panel testing and commissioning.
• Experience in functional and electrical testing of LV panels.
• Experience in switchgear/panel manufacturing and testing is preferred.

Required skills

• Insulation resistance and continuity testing.
• Ability to read GA drawings, SLDs and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of MDB, SMDB, MCC, ATS and DB panels is an advantage.
