Manager, Investment Banking and Support Functions Audit (Qatarization)

About the role

QNB Group, Qatar's first Qatari-owned commercial bank, is hiring a manager for its Group Internal Audit function. The role covers the Investment Banking and Support Functions Audit, providing independent assurance and advisory services on controls across domestic divisions, with a focus on investment banking, treasury, risk and support functions. It also supports the integration of advanced data analytics and continuous auditing techniques to improve efficiency and real-time risk monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the risk-based annual plan for the Domestic Investment Banking and Support Functions audit, aligned with the Group Internal Audit strategy
• Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of processes and controls, and implement KPIs and best practices for the audit function
• Build strong, independent relationships with business and support function staff, and communicate findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders
• Provide advisory services on internal control, consumer protection, financial crime prevention and regulatory adherence
• Act as a team member on audit engagements: planning (risk assessment, scope definition), fieldwork (testing, interim updates), reporting (issues and recommendations) and follow-up (issue closure, file closure)
• Support the team leader, coordinate with external assurance providers and consultants, and collaborate with peers to cover domestic subsidiaries and support, control and risk functions
• Integrate data analytics and continuous auditing into the audit practice, and stay current with audit trends and technologies
• Comply with the GIAD Audit Manual, Global Internal Audit standards, local regulations and the Group's compliance policies (AML, sanctions, data protection, fraud control, whistleblowing, conflict of interest, code of ethics)
