Manager Supplier Management & Process Improvements (Qatarization)

About the role

This role will develop and implement Qatar Airways’ Supplier Management strategy and drive the response to Third‑Party Risk Management. The manager will lead the creation of supplier segmentation, strategic sourcing and localisation initiatives across the Group.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic analysis and define alternative paths for managing the third‑party supplier base, securing buy‑in across the Group and implementing the chosen solution.
• Develop and roll out a supplier segmentation approach based on spend, criticality and value‑add, focusing on strategic suppliers.
• Design and implement a Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) methodology, creating consistent processes for managing relationships with strategic suppliers.
• Establish a procurement framework that guides business areas on contracting, addresses internal audit observations, and ensures full coverage of third‑party risk.
• Coordinate data streams and integrate the SRM approach with the Oracle platform, supporting the Wahed project.
• Lead the GBS Procurement drive for supplier localisation, enhancing engagement with Qatari suppliers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, logistics, operations or a related field.
• Strong category‑specific experience in supplier management or procurement.
• Excellent command of English and ability to work under pressure with multiple stakeholders.
• Proven ability to influence, negotiate and build effective business relationships.
• Service‑oriented mindset with a focus on stakeholder satisfaction.
• Contractual and financial acumen, with solid negotiation and planning skills.
• Managerial capabilities including delegation, direction setting, mentoring and coaching.
• Experience in training and developing team members and fostering teamwork.
