Mechanic - Commissioning

About the role

Madre Integrated Engineering is hiring a full-time Mechanic - Commissioning in Doha within the oil and gas sector. The role covers mechanical commissioning support, installation and alignment, troubleshooting and testing of rotating equipment, while complying with offshore HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical commissioning tasks on pumps, compressors, turbines and other rotating equipment.
• Assist in installation, alignment and testing of mechanical systems and machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical faults during commissioning and carry out corrective actions.
• Conduct pressure tests, vibration checks and mechanical integrity verification.
• Record test results, prepare commissioning reports and maintain compliance documentation.
• Ensure adherence to offshore HSE standards, lockout/tagout procedures and permit-to-work systems.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of offshore mechanical installation and commissioning experience.
• Mechanical Commissioning Qualification (MDR or equivalent).
• BOSIET / HUET (OPITO certified) and basic H2S training.
• EPCIC project HSES induction.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, hydraulics and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, alignment charts and commissioning procedures.
• Familiarity with API, ASME and NOC standards.
