Network Security Engineer

About the role

The Network Security Engineer will design, implement, and maintain secure networking infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and protection against threats. This role focuses on Cisco and Palo Alto technologies within LAN, WAN, and wireless environments.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco switching and routing infrastructure.
• Monitor and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless network environments.
• Implement network changes, upgrades, and optimization activities.
• Conduct network performance analysis and capacity planning.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco Firepower/ASA and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Implement and maintain firewall policies, NAT, VPNs, and security controls.
• Perform security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and security monitoring.
• Investigate and resolve network and security incidents.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Telecommunications or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security, Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE, or Cisco ISE (preferred).

• Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
• Cisco ASA / Firepower firewalls.
• Palo Alto firewalls.
• Cisco Catalyst switching series.
• Cisco routing technologies.
• Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC).
• VPN technologies (site‑to‑site and remote access).
• Network security best practices and troubleshooting/root‑cause analysis.
