Operations Manager – Broiler Poultry Farm

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the day‑to‑day activities of our broiler poultry farm. The role ensures optimal bird health, high productivity, strict biosecurity and profitability while managing a dedicated team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise daily broiler production, monitoring health, growth rates, feed conversion ratios and mortality.
• Enforce biosecurity protocols, coordinate vaccination and medication programs with veterinarians, and respond swiftly to disease outbreaks.
• Supervise, train and schedule farm staff, evaluate performance and promote a safe work environment.
• Manage feed ordering, storage and usage, oversee inventory of chicks, feed, medicines and supplies, and ensure equipment maintenance.
• Maintain compliance with animal welfare regulations, food safety standards and company policies, preparing records for audits.
• Monitor production costs, assist with budgeting and prepare regular operational performance reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Poultry Science, Agriculture or a related field (preferred).
• At least 5 years of experience in broiler poultry farm operations or livestock management.
• Proven experience supervising teams and managing farm‑level processes.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of broiler production systems and best practices.
• Understanding of poultry health, nutrition and biosecurity measures.
• Ability to analyse production data and performance metrics.
