Painter

About the role

Alfardan Corporation is looking for a skilled Painter in Qatar to prepare and apply paint, coatings and finishes to buildings, equipment or other surfaces. The ideal candidate works safely, delivers high-quality results and meets project specifications and deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling holes and applying primer.
• Mix and apply paints, varnishes and other coatings with brushes, rollers or spray equipment.
• Protect nearby surfaces, fixtures and furnishings from paint and damage.
• Select materials and finishes according to project requirements.
• Inspect finished work and correct imperfections for a consistent finish.
• Maintain tools and equipment and keep work areas clean and organised.
• Follow site safety procedures and use personal protective equipment.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other trades to complete work on schedule.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Painter in construction, maintenance or a related field.
• Knowledge of surface preparation, paint types, application methods and finishing techniques.
• Ability to use painting tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and specifications.
• Physically fit and able to work at heights or in varied site conditions when required.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
• Effective communication in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
• Relevant trade training or certification is preferred.
