Part‑time Lecturer in TESOL

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Lecturer in TESOL to join the English Language Center at The Community College of Qatar. The successful candidate will teach CEFR A2 to low B2 level courses, provide academic advising, and contribute to departmental initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, teach and deliver TESOL courses following higher‑education standards, using varied methodologies to support student learning.
• Participate actively in departmental and college‑wide committees, projects and initiatives.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, assessment, testing and administration.
• Utilise the assigned learning management system and designated educational technology tools to enhance instruction.
• Engage in continuous professional development through internal and external training sessions.
• Teach at different times, locations and campuses as institutional needs require.

Required profile

• Native or native‑like proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Master’s degree in TESOL or Applied Linguistics.
• Ability to maintain professional, ethical, and responsible interactions with students, faculty and staff.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts and adapt to various campus settings.

Required skills

• Effective use of Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Proficiency with educational technology tools for teaching and administration.
