Planning Engineer – Airport Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to lead the planning, scheduling and progress monitoring of airport construction and fit‑out projects. The role works closely with the Project Manager, contractors, consultants and internal teams to ensure activities are properly planned, risks are identified and corrective actions are implemented.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in planning, coordination, monitoring and reporting of airport projects.
• Prepare, update and maintain project schedules, baseline programmes, look‑ahead programmes and progress trackers.
• Monitor planned vs. actual progress, identify delays, critical activities and schedule risks.
• Collect progress updates from contractors, consultants and suppliers and follow up on pending actions.
• Produce weekly/monthly progress reports, dashboards, presentations and executive summaries.
• Document meeting minutes, maintain action trackers and ensure timely closure of items.
• Monitor critical path, milestones, deliverables and key interfaces.
• Assist in developing recovery programmes and mitigation plans for delayed activities.
• Coordinate with Document Control to track project documents, submissions and approvals.
• Provide regular schedule and progress updates to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
• 7–10 years of experience in project planning, scheduling and controls, preferably on airport, aviation or complex infrastructure projects.
