Pool & Beach Supervisor

About the role

The Pool & Beach Supervisor oversees the daily operation of the resort’s swimming pool and beach facilities at Banana Island Resort Doha. The role ensures a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests while maintaining high standards of service and compliance with health‑and‑safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the swimming pool and beach areas.
• Lead, motivate, train and monitor the performance of Pool & Beach Attendants and Lifeguards.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization and safety of pools, sun loungers, umbrellas, cabanas, showers and changing areas.
• Conduct regular inspections of all pool and beach equipment and facilities.
• Monitor pool water quality, perform testing and record results according to hotel and regulatory standards.
• Ensure lifeguard coverage and enforce safety procedures during operating hours.
• Assist guests with pool and beach amenities, respond to requests, concerns and complaints.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, Recreation and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards or damaged equipment promptly.
• Manage inventory of towels, amenities, cleaning supplies and operational equipment.
• Prepare staff schedules, conduct daily briefings and allocate duties as needed.

• Strong focus on guest service and hospitality standards.
• Attention to cleanliness, safety and hygiene in pool and beach environments.
• Ability to lead and train a team of attendants and lifeguards.
• Excellent observational skills to intervene in unsafe guest behavior.
