Principal AI Ops Architect

About the role

Scale’s Global Public Sector team is building AI solutions for governments worldwide. As a Principal AI Ops Architect you will design, develop and own the production lifecycle of full‑stack AI applications, ensuring reliability, security and compliance for international government partners.

Key responsibilities

• Own long‑term performance and reliability of AI use cases deployed across government agencies.
• Maintain end‑to‑end health of the platform, integrating AI core with APIs, UI and backend components.
• Build automated monitoring for model performance, data drift and real‑time inference across distributed environments.
• Navigate global regulatory frameworks and ensure sovereign data orchestration.
• Lead incident response for mission‑critical production issues and implement preventive guardrails.
• Translate technical metrics into clear insights for senior government officials.
• Collaborate with Engineering and ML teams to feed field learnings into future architecture.

Required profile

• 6+ years in a high‑impact technical role such as Site Reliability Engineering, Full‑Stack Development or MLOps.
• Experience working with public sector or government customers and familiarity with international security standards.
• Strong ownership mindset and proven ability to ensure production reliability before issues surface.
