Process Engineer

About the role

QatarEnergy LNG is looking for a Process Engineer in Ras Laffan North to provide daily process engineering support for all its operated facilities, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operations. The role works in a technical environment with many internal and external stakeholders and contributes to multi-disciplinary tasks while drawing on specialist expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Support day-to-day process surveillance in line with the QLMS ASV L3 procedure, create surveillance reports, highlight deviations, recommend troubleshooting and escalate concerns promptly.
• Monitor system and process efficiency, suggest engineering recommendations and assist EMOCs, AIRs, FRAs, RCFAs, RS, HAZOPs and HAZID assessments.
• Assist with shutdown scoping and planning for process-related activities.
• Join the engineering call-out roster for after-hours process engineering support and attend operational meetings such as daily operations, ALT and SHE committee meetings.
• Keep the Process Engineering Lead informed on key issues and support preliminary analysis and design for process engineering projects.
• Contribute to the annual business plan assumptions data for the Corporate Planning department.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 4 years of engineering experience in an oil and gas environment.
