Procurement Engineer

About the role

Technip Energies is seeking a Procurement Engineer to join its Doha office and support the Head of Procurement. The role involves managing procurement activities for oil‑gas EPC projects, coordinating with buyers, expeditors and logistics coordinators, and ensuring smooth delivery of materials and services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Department and Project Management in supervising buyers, expeditors and logistics coordinators.
• Prepare procurement/sub‑contract plans, procedures and related documentation.
• Issue pre‑qualification dossiers for suppliers and subcontractors.
• Review scope of work and material requisitions to prepare tender packages.
• Generate bidder lists, single‑source justifications, invitations to bid, RFQs and RFIs.
• Expedite and follow up on proposals, offers and quotations.
• Coordinate technical and commercial reviews with engineering, cost and planning teams.
• Negotiate commercial clarifications and prepare award recommendations and bid tabulations.
• Create purchase orders, service orders, subcontract and transport service orders in ERP systems.
• Facilitate kick‑off and expediting meetings with vendors and project teams.
• Monitor claims, back‑charges and liquidated damages, and close out orders.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in oil & gas EPC projects.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, P2P cycles and subcontract management.
• Ability to work closely with engineering, cost, planning and logistics functions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
