Procurement Manager

About the role

Al Emadi Enterprises, a leading Qatari conglomerate, is seeking a strategic Procurement Manager to centralise and modernise purchasing across its diverse businesses. The role will transform fragmented, manual processes into a unified, technology‑driven operation that delivers cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the migration from ad‑hoc purchasing requests (e.g., WhatsApp, email) to a centralized procurement software platform.
• Develop and enforce comprehensive SOPs and approval matrices for all group‑wide procurement activities.
• Build and maintain a central supplier database for price comparison, contract management, and vendor performance tracking.
• Oversee daily procurement team operations, ensuring balanced workloads and eliminating single points of failure.
• Coordinate with all departments to align procurement with project timelines and operational needs.
• Negotiate favourable terms with local and international suppliers, conduct market analysis, and drive cost optimisation.
• Collaborate with Finance to resolve contractor payment bottlenecks and supply‑chain disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, local regulations, and industry best practices; generate regular performance and savings reports for leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance or a related field (Master’s degree a plus).
• Professional procurement certification (e.g., CIPS) highly preferred.
• 7–10 years of progressive procurement experience, preferably in a multi‑business environment.
