Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will ensure that all transactional procurement activities are carried out in line with the company's policies, HSSE standards, and business principles. You will manage the end‑to‑end sourcing of MRO spare parts, commodities, and consumables, supporting safe and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Compile and issue RFQs, handle technical and commercial queries, and conduct commercial evaluations.
• Negotiate prices and commercial terms, prepare approving authority recommendations, and award purchase orders.
• Manage post‑award activities including order expediting, dispute resolution, and PO close‑out.
• Coordinate logistics and export‑import shipments, securing statutory approvals from customs, environment, civil defence, ICT, etc.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors, and provide performance feedback.
• Support audit processes and contribute data for fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly supply‑chain reports.
• Participate in company trainings and adhere to the code of conduct and conflict‑of‑interest policies.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering or a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Commerce from an accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement or material‑supply experience in the oil/gas or petrochemical sector.
• Professional certification in material/supply management or business administration is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing policies, Incoterms, insurance, and contractual terms.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and meet cost, quality, and timing targets.
