Procurement Officer – Aviation Fuel

About the role

Qatar Airways Group is seeking a proactive Procurement Officer to support its global fuel operations. Based in Doha, the role coordinates fuel requirements, monitors supplier performance, and ensures uninterrupted aviation fuel supply across the network.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate specifications from user departments and support sourcing activities.
• Negotiate costs and commercial terms for low to medium value goods and services.
• Resolve procurement issues such as delays and supplier response challenges.
• Create, review, and maintain procurement records, including purchase orders and item codes.
• Administer tender activities, ensuring proper documentation, approvals, and system records.
• Prepare procurement reporting data and support sourcing strategy implementation.
• Provide regular updates on tender status, approvals, clarifications, and awards.
• Maintain records to meet compliance and audit requirements.

Required profile

• High School, Vocational Qualification, Diploma or equivalent with at least 4 years of relevant experience, OR a Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in the airline industry or related Middle‑East procurement environment.
