Project Assurance Engineer

About the role

The Project Assurance Engineer will support QatarEnergy LNG’s Exploration & Production (E&P) business by analysing project performance, monitoring KPIs, and providing insights to optimise outcomes. The role ensures robust assurance processes are applied throughout the project lifecycle, enabling timely delivery and compliance with standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for projects and work with teams to develop mitigation strategies.
• Establish and maintain monitoring mechanisms to track progress against milestones, analyse deviations and trigger corrective actions.
• Develop and implement quality assurance processes, performing regular audits to verify compliance with project plans and industry best practices.
• Support budgeting activities by liaising with Finance and E&P groups, compiling preliminary and final budgets, and analysing cost performance.
• Utilise standardised reporting tools to produce performance reports for the Engineering and Projects Group and meet internal and external reporting requirements.
• Facilitate E&P leadership meetings, monitor action items and act as the focal point for business performance and benchmarking activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, science or business management.
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in project assurance, risk management and multi‑discipline roles within the oil and gas industry.
