Purchasing Executive

About the role

The Purchasing Executive will manage all procurement activities for the Engineering Department of a hotel, ensuring that technical materials, equipment, and services are sourced efficiently and meet quality standards. The role supports other hotel departments as needed, acting as the primary liaison between suppliers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers of technical materials, equipment, spare parts, and services.
• Obtain and compare quotations based on specifications, quality, price, and commercial terms.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and other contract conditions.
• Prepare and process purchase requisitions and orders accurately and promptly.
• Review technical specifications, drawings, and equipment requirements.
• Coordinate with the Engineering team to verify that purchased items meet technical and quality standards.
• Monitor supplier performance, follow up on deliveries, installations, warranties, and technical support.
• Maintain comprehensive purchasing documentation, supplier records, and supporting files.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities while preserving required quality.

Required profile

• Engineering background, preferably Mechanical, Electrical or related discipline.
• Previous experience in purchasing or procurement, ideally within a hotel, resort, facility‑management or technical environment.
• Strong understanding of MEP, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, kitchen equipment, spare parts and maintenance materials.
• Excellent negotiation, supplier‑management and communication abilities.
• Proficient in English (written and spoken).
