QC II Inspection Engineer – Non-Destructive Testing

About the role

The QC II Inspection Engineer will perform and oversee non‑destructive testing (NDT) inspections on gas turbine components, compressors and steam turbine rotors. You will ensure accurate reporting, compliance with safety standards, and support both in‑process and final acceptance inspections.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct NDT inspections including Fluorescent Penetrant (FPI), Red‑dye Penetrant (DPI), Ultrasonic (UT) and Radiographic (RT) testing.
• Generate detailed NDT reports and support inspection activities such as receiving, part number recording, visual and dimensional checks.
• Perform assembly and final acceptance inspections on gas turbine, centrifugal compressor and steam turbine components.
• Raise NCRs, reject non‑conforming material, and coordinate disposition with production personnel.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Calibrate and maintain measuring instruments and testing equipment in line with BH standards.
• Maintain digital shop systems (work orders, time vouchering, operation completion) and ensure HSE compliance.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering or High School Certificate with relevant experience.
• Minimum five years of inspection experience in a gas‑turbine repair or service environment.
• ASNT Level II certification in PT, UT and RT.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and use inspection measuring equipment.
• Self‑starter with limited supervision, strong communication skills and fluent English.
