About the role
The Cluster Reservations Agent processes all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received via phone, fax, or mail for a group of hotels. The role identifies guest needs, verifies room availability and rates, explains policies, and ensures accurate data entry in the reservation system.
Key responsibilities
- Process reservation requests, modifications, and cancellations while maintaining accurate records.
- Identify guest requirements, recommend appropriate room types, and verify availability and rates.
- Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers.
- Enter special reservation codes (complimentary, employee discounts, travel‑agent rates) correctly into the system.
- Escalate guest concerns following proper procedures and uphold company policies.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of related reservation or front‑desk experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No specific license or certification needed.
