About the role
An international engineering consultancy is seeking a Resident Engineer to oversee the construction of an airport cargo facility in Qatar. The role involves acting on behalf of the client to ensure that design specifications and quality standards are strictly adhered to throughout the build.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities on the airport cargo facility.
- Monitor compliance with contractual design and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with client representatives, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Report progress, issues, and corrective actions to the project management team.
Required profile
- Degree in Engineering or a Construction‑related discipline.
- Additional qualification in project management.
- Minimum 15 years of experience on large, complex building projects, preferably with a cargo element.
- Demonstrated experience on aviation‑related projects.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English.
