RMC Supervisor

About the role

The RMC Supervisor leads the Roads Management Centre operations on a 24/7 basis, ensuring safe, efficient traffic and tunnel management across Qatar's road network.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all RMC operations during the assigned shift, overseeing traffic, ITS, and tunnel systems.
• Act as senior operational authority during incidents, emergencies, severe weather, and major events, following the escalation matrix.
• Authorize and monitor traffic management response plans, including diversions, lane closures, DMS, LCS, and tunnel procedures.
• Maintain situational awareness via CCTV, OMNIA/ATMS, SCATS, and other platforms to make timely decisions.
• Monitor performance against SLAs and KPIs, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure accurate operational records, incident logs, and audit‑ready documentation.
• Coordinate with Ashghal, MOI Traffic Police, Civil Defence, ambulance services, DNMC, and other stakeholders during operations and emergencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering, IT, Business Administration or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience with IBM Maximo, Enterprise Asset Management, or road/highway operations.
• Previous experience in a Roads Management Centre or similar environment is preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced working knowledge of IBM Maximo (work order, asset, preventive maintenance, reporting).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience with workflow optimisation and business process improvement in EAM systems.
