Route Engineer – Roads Operations & Maintenance

About the role

Egis is seeking a detail‑oriented Route Engineer (Roads O&M) to join its Doha team. You will oversee the operation and maintenance of road networks, ensuring safety, functionality, and compliance with Qatar’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of assigned road routes to identify defects, maintenance needs, and safety hazards.
• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans and schedules to minimise disruptions.
• Analyse road performance data and maintenance metrics to optimise operations and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate with contractors and maintenance crews to execute repairs, resurfacing, and preventive maintenance.
• Monitor budget allocation, control maintenance costs, and ensure quality standards are met.
• Prepare detailed technical reports on road conditions, maintenance activities, and project outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar’s road infrastructure standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Manage maintenance management systems and keep asset records up to date.
• Investigate road failures and accidents to determine root causes and propose preventive measures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in road maintenance, operations, or civil engineering.
• Strong knowledge of road maintenance standards, safety protocols, and best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining high quality.
• Excellent analytical and organisational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with maintenance management systems.
• Experience using asset management software.
