Sales Engineer (Mechanical Power Transmission)

About the role

We are looking for a technically strong Sales Engineer to drive growth in the Oil & Gas sector in Qatar. The role combines engineering expertise with commercial execution to promote and sell power transmission solutions such as gearboxes, couplings and other rotating equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and manage sales opportunities within the Oil & Gas market.
• Promote and sell power transmission products and complete solutions.
• Provide technical advice, application support and engineering guidance to customers.
• Prepare and submit quotations, technical offers, datasheets and commercial proposals.
• Follow up with clients to progress opportunities and close sales.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
• Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of sales experience in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts or projects.
• Commercial awareness and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Good time‑management and organisational skills.

Required skills

• Mechanical engineering knowledge of power transmission equipment.
• Experience with gearboxes, couplings and rotating equipment.
• Preparation of technical submittals, datasheets and quotations.
