Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Doha, Qatar. The role will focus on preparing accurate financial statements, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with IFRS standards. The successful candidate will work closely with the finance department and external auditors to deliver timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain accurate and timely accounting records and financial reporting.
• Support and coordinate external audits, providing required schedules and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable IFRS requirements.
• Work with ERP systems, preferably SAP FI, for accounting and financial transactions.
• Perform financial analysis and support management reporting requirements.
• Handle day‑to‑day accounting activities and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Assist the finance team in meeting reporting deadlines and maintaining strong internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification preferred or currently pursuing (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA, CMA).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the GCC region.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP FI.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
