Senior Cloud Architect

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise‑grade cloud solutions in Qatar. The role involves shaping multi‑cloud strategies, guiding migration projects, and ensuring that cloud environments are secure, scalable, and cost‑effective.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve cloud architecture strategies aligned with business goals.
• Lead design, deployment, and optimisation of solutions across Azure, AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform.
• Establish architecture standards, governance frameworks, and operating models.
• Design secure, resilient, and cost‑efficient cloud infrastructure, including landing zones and network architectures.
• Drive cloud migration, modernization and transformation initiatives for enterprise workloads.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security and data teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Provide technical leadership throughout project lifecycles and advise senior stakeholders.
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend tools that meet organisational objectives.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure or digital transformation.
• At least 5 years in a senior architecture role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.

Required skills

• Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform (multi‑cloud expertise).
• Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, ARM, Bicep, CloudFormation.
• Containerisation and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
• DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Cloud networking, security, identity & access management, governance frameworks.
• Cloud security, disaster recovery, high availability and performance optimisation.
