Senior Director – Event Site Masterplanning

About the role

The Senior Director will lead end‑to‑end site master‑planning for large‑scale, multi‑venue mega events, translating the client’s vision into detailed implementation plans. This is a hands‑on producing role that combines strategic oversight with direct creation of masterplans, zoning, and visitor journeys.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full site master‑planning process, covering venue footprint, infrastructure, resources and timelines for each event cycle.
• Head a large multidisciplinary planning team, allocating design, drafting and F&B planning work while ensuring delivery stays on track.
• Personally develop masterplans, zoning, dimensioned layouts and end‑to‑end visitor journeys.
• Run needs assessments, feasibility and validation studies, benchmarking against comparable global events.
• Serve as trusted advisor to senior client leadership, integrating marketing, sponsorship, talent, media and operations requirements into a coherent site plan.

Required profile

• Senior Director grade with a minimum of 12 years’ relevant experience.
• At least two complete delivery cycles of comparable mega‑events (multi‑venue, mega sporting events).
• Proven experience producing venue master‑planning, zoning, dimensioned layouts and visitor journeys.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate stakeholder requirements across marketing, sponsorships, influencers and players.
