Senior Estimation & Tendering Manager

About the role

The Senior Estimation & Tendering Manager leads the end‑to‑end tendering function for large EPC projects, ensuring bids are accurate, competitive and commercially sound. This role coordinates cross‑functional teams to deliver complete proposals and supports the transition from award to project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage estimation and tendering activities for major EPC contracts.
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs and contract conditions to define project scope.
• Conduct bid/no‑bid evaluations, identify risks and recommend tender strategies.
• Prepare and validate cost estimates covering materials, labour, equipment, subcontracting and indirect costs.
• Ensure compliance with client specifications, contractual requirements and internal procedures.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Commercial, Planning and Finance during bid preparation.
• Review supplier and subcontractor quotations to secure competitive pricing.
• Prepare commercial and technical submissions and obtain management approval.
• Lead tender clarifications, negotiations and provide commercial support after award.
• Maintain estimating databases, cost benchmarks and improve estimation procedures.
• Mentor and develop the Estimation and Quantity Surveying teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of estimation and tendering experience on major EPC projects.
• At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Proven experience in Energy, Utilities, Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical or Power sectors.
• Familiarity with GCC markets is preferred.
• Professional certifications in Cost Engineering or Project Management are an advantage.
