Senior Fire Alarm Technician

About the role

The Senior Fire Alarm Technician will lead the installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance of fire alarm systems across commercial, residential, hospitality and industrial projects in Doha, ensuring compliance with project specifications, local authority requirements and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, terminate, commission and maintain fire alarm devices such as detectors, control panels, sounders and related equipment.
• Lead and supervise site technicians and subcontractors, coordinate with engineers, consultants and clients, and ensure all work follows health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, fault diagnosis and system diagnostics, and prepare accurate records and reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical certification in Electrical, Electronics, Fire & Safety or related field.
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience with fire alarm systems on commercial, residential, hospitality or industrial projects.
• Valid Qatar driving licence and familiarity with Qatar Civil Defence requirements.

Required skills

• Fire alarm system installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics and layouts.
• Fault finding, system diagnostics and use of testing instruments and commissioning tools.
• Knowledge of major fire alarm manufacturers (Notifier, Honeywell, Siemens, Edwards, GST, etc.) and local fire codes.
