Senior Geologist Manager

About the role

UCC Holding is looking for an experienced Senior Geologist Manager to lead geological evaluation, exploration, appraisal and field development activities for its upstream oil & gas business in Qatar. The role provides technical leadership across basin studies, reservoir characterization and prospect generation to support strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead regional and field‑scale geological studies for exploration, appraisal and development projects.
• Conduct structural, stratigraphic, sedimentological and petroleum systems analyses.
• Identify and mature exploration prospects and drilling opportunities through integrated subsurface interpretation.
• Integrate geological, geophysical, petrophysical and reservoir engineering data for reservoir characterization and field development planning.
• Perform resource and reserve assessments, volumetric calculations and geological risk evaluations.
• Provide technical assurance for exploration acreage, farm‑ins, acquisitions and development projects.
• Support well planning, drilling operations and post‑well evaluations.
• Manage multidisciplinary subsurface teams and mentor geoscientists.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 15 + years of experience in upstream oil & gas geology, including basin analysis and reservoir characterization.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams.
