Senior HSE Officer

About the role

The Senior HSE Officer is responsible for creating and maintaining a comprehensive Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) system that ensures a safe, sustainable and efficient workplace. This role works closely with senior management and key stakeholders to embed a culture of safety, sustainability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor HSEQ policies and frameworks that meet legal requirements and corporate objectives.
• Lead sustainability initiatives, including energy‑saving projects, waste segregation and resource‑efficiency programs.
• Define, track and report on HSEQ key performance indicators.
• Conduct ergonomic assessments, wellness programs and health‑check initiatives for employee well‑being.
• Perform regular risk assessments, safety audits, fire safety checks and emergency response drills.
• Oversee environmental actions such as LED lighting, motion‑sensor installations and paper‑less practices.
• Carry out internal quality audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
• Maintain up‑to‑date HSEQ documentation and coordinate training for staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental management, quality assurance or a related field.
• 5‑8 years of experience in HSEQ roles, preferably within an office or corporate environment.
• Relevant HSEQ certification is highly preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and other ISO standards.
• Proficiency in risk assessment and audit execution.
• Experience with energy‑saving and waste‑management initiatives.
