Senior Information Security Expert

About the role

The Senior Information Security Expert at CCQ is a strategic leader responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the institution's cybersecurity framework. The role works within a higher education environment and contributes to Qatar's cybersecurity advancement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Information Security Management System (ISMS)
• Oversee SOC operations
• Conduct risk assessments
• Manage cloud and network security architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Ensure proactive threat intelligence and incident response
• Drive security awareness programs and conduct phishing simulations
• Provide strategic guidance on risk management
• Ensure compliance with Qatar's National Cybersecurity Strategy, PDPL, ISO 27001, NIA V2 and NIST standards

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in cybersecurity governance, risk management and SOC operations
• CISSP and CEH certifications are mandatory
• Preferred certifications include ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, CCSP, OSCP and CREST
