Senior Offshore Structural Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Offshore Structural Engineer to lead the structural design and engineering activities for offshore platforms, FPSOs and semi‑submersible units. The role involves close coordination with multidisciplinary teams, client communication and technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Identify work scope and technical requirements for offshore structural projects.
• Participate in technical clarifications, prepare discipline proposals and review design documents.
• Design, review and approve structural calculations, drawings and related professional documents.
• Coordinate and track the preparation of material bidding documents, vendor drawing reviews, FAT inspections and other procurement support.
• Prepare and review special reports and calculation results, ensuring compliance with client comments.
• Provide on‑site technical support, scheme discussions and coordination during construction.
• Deliver regular technical training to designers (minimum 10 sessions or 40 hours per year).
• Execute any additional tasks assigned by the Project Manager or Structure department.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• More than 10 years of experience in offshore structural design (platforms, FPSO, semi‑submersibles).
• Strong knowledge of international offshore standards such as API RP‑2A, AISC, ISO 19902 and Shell DEP.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SACS, ANSYS and AutoCAD for structural analysis and drafting.
• Experience using industry standards (API RP‑2A, AISC, ISO 19902, Shell DEP).
