Senior Process Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead innovative process design and engineering activities for on‑shore and off‑shore oil & gas projects. You will work closely with the Lead Engineer and project team to ensure high‑quality deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Implement innovative solutions, technology advances, and methods to address out‑of‑sequence work.
• Support the Lead Engineer in monitoring quality activities and take corrective actions when required.
• Assist the project team with proposals, estimates, budgets, schedules, and documentation.
• Manage process design and design changes within budget and schedule, and prepare progress reports for weekly discipline meetings.
• Identify technical issues, evaluate alternative solutions, and produce official project documents such as technical queries and deviations.
• Create final documentation for customer approval and review/authorize work of direct reports.
• Evaluate new technology against existing standards and recommend cost‑effective improvements.
• Provide discipline‑specific engineering services during procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance and Occupational Health & Safety procedures.

Required profile

• Proven process design experience in on‑shore/off‑shore oil & gas brownfield environments, with a focus on rotating equipment.
• FEED and detailed engineering experience is essential.
• Background in an engineering consultancy within a multidisciplinary setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Mandatory MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation; willingness to obtain it during probation if not already held.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status is an advantage.
