HVAC Service Technician

About the role

The HVAC Service Technician supports the senior service team in installing, maintaining and repairing heating, ventilation and air‑conditioning equipment for Primepower clients. The role involves routine inspections, preventive maintenance and rapid response to minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the senior HVAC technician with equipment installation, maintenance and repairs.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance according to Primepower schedules.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, providing effective solutions.
• Prepare equipment for hire following the Primepower ‘Green Card’ procedure.
• Ensure all work reports are approved by the client on site and are legibly produced.
• Maintain good housekeeping of the work area and service vehicle.
• Keep a minimum stock of spare parts in the service vehicle as required.
• Comply with QHSE, ISO standards and the 24‑hour call‑out policy.

Required profile

• Recognised qualification in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
• Ability to work long hours in demanding conditions and under pressure.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Reliability in meeting strict timeframes and completing tasks.
