Senior Procurement Manager – Strategic Sourcing & IT Procurement

About the role

The Senior Procurement Manager will lead group‑wide strategic sourcing and category management, with a primary focus on IT procurement covering hardware, software, services and technology resources. The role partners with Strategy, Investment, Finance, IT and Business Unit leaders to embed procurement into business planning and drive cost optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead group‑level strategic sourcing, spend analytics and procurement optimisation initiatives.
• Manage end‑to‑end IT procurement, including hardware, software licences, infrastructure and services.
• Develop category and sourcing strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
• Conduct market intelligence, supplier evaluation, benchmarking and cost analysis.
• Negotiate high‑value contracts, framework agreements and strategic supplier partnerships.
• Identify cost‑saving, demand‑management and value‑creation opportunities.
• Drive procurement transformation, digitalisation, analytics, governance and process improvement.
• Build and manage strategic supplier relationships and performance.
• Collaborate with Finance, IT, Strategy, Investment and Business Units on procurement decisions.
• Lead, develop and align procurement teams with group objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or related field.
• 10–15+ years progressive procurement experience, including strategic sourcing and category management.
• Significant experience in IT procurement (hardware, software, infrastructure, services, technology resources).
• Proven track record in large, complex or multi‑business organisations.
• Experience in commercial negotiations, contract management and cost optimisation.
• Background in spend analytics, digital procurement and performance management.
• Ability to work with senior stakeholders across Finance, IT, Strategy and Business Units.
• Professional procurement certification (CIPS, MCIPS, CPSM or equivalent) preferred.
