Senior Project Manager – GIS (PMO)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our Project Management Office (PMO) for large‑scale Enterprise GIS initiatives in Qatar. The role involves overseeing end‑to‑end delivery, coordinating cross‑functional teams, and ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and control Enterprise GIS projects from initiation to closure.
• Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate GIS specialists, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
• Monitor risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies.
• Conduct regular status meetings and present updates to senior leadership.
• Ensure adherence to project governance, quality standards, and PMO best practices.
• Manage client communications and stakeholder expectations.
• Oversee GIS data migration, conversion, and system integration activities.
• Track key performance indicators and produce management reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, GIS, Geomatics, IT or a related field.
• PMP certification (mandatory) and Agile certification (preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of project management experience, including at least 5 years leading Enterprise GIS implementations.
• Proven experience working with Middle‑East clients, preferably in public works, utilities, infrastructure or government sectors.
