Senior Roads Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Roads Design Engineer to lead the planning and design of complex highway and transportation infrastructure projects. The role involves delivering geometric designs for highways, interchanges and urban road networks while ensuring compliance with international and Qatar standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed geometric designs for highways, interchanges and urban road networks.
• Prepare technical reports and design documentation for large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to integrate design solutions.
• Ensure designs meet international, Qatar and GCC road design standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree advantageous).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in road and highway design.
• At least 5 years of experience working in GCC countries.
• Valid MMUP (UPDA) Certificate.
• Strong knowledge of international and Qatar road design specifications.
• Excellent communication, coordination and reporting skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Civil 3D.
• Proficiency with OpenRoads Designer.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
