Senior Software Quality Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Quality Engineer to lead the testing lifecycle for our software applications. You will design and implement comprehensive test plans, create realistic test scenarios, and ensure high usability and quality of the delivered products.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business analysts to translate functional requirements into robust, reusable test plans.
• Develop testing programs covering database impacts, regression, negative, and usability testing.
• Identify test requirements from specifications, map them to test cases, and design coverage plans.
• Design and execute test cases for unit, integration, system, and user‑acceptance testing across all modules.
• Report bugs, track defects, and troubleshoot issues with development teams.
• Perform non‑functional tests such as performance, security, usability, and stress testing and analyse results.
• Conduct post‑release and post‑implementation testing.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Mentor team members in testing activities and share technical knowledge.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing or IT.
• Experience as a QC tester in an agile environment, including manual test scripting, test data management, and requirements mapping.
• Desirable certifications: ISTQB CTFL, ISTQB CTFL Agile Testing, Certified Associate in Software Quality (CASQ), Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST), Certified Software Process Engineer (CSPE), Certified Quantitative Software Process Engineer (CQSPE).

• Mobile testing on multiple operating systems.
• Web testing across different browsers.
• Use of proxy tools such as Charles and Fiddler.
• Exposure to Appium for mobile automation.
• Load testing and API testing experience.
• Test data management.
