Senior Technical HSE Engineer

About the role

Airswift is seeking a Senior Technical HSE Engineer for a long‑term contract with a national operator in Qatar. The role focuses on providing safety and risk engineering support for on‑shore operations, ensuring robust process safety and risk management across existing and new installations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safety and risk engineering support to all departments.
• Assess and evaluate operational risks for current and future installations.
• Participate in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Process Safety and Risk Management programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science; postgraduate degree or professional HSE certificate preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of total experience in HSE, preferably within multinational or oil & gas organisations, including offshore exposure.
• At least 5 years of experience specifically in HSE risk management and loss prevention.
• Experience in supervisory, managerial, consultancy or audit roles is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Strong analytical abilities and high computer literacy.

Required skills

• Extensive experience with risk management studies such as QRA, HAZID, HAZOP, BOW‑TIE and ORA.
• Certified Lead Auditor by IRCA or equivalent international HSE registration.
• Proficiency in Process Safety and Risk Management methodologies.
