Senior Well Intervention Engineer

About the role

The Senior Well Intervention Engineer will lead the planning, design and coordination of platform‑based well interventions to optimise production and injection while ensuring safety and cost‑effectiveness. The role is based at NOC’s Well Intervention office in Doha with occasional site visits to Al Shaheen field and logistics bases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and write well‑intervention programmes, ensuring compliance with NOC HSE policies and ALARP principles.
• Manage contracts and coordinate with petroleum engineering, production, and external contractors for each intervention.
• Oversee equipment mobilisation, offshore reporting, and daily NPT tracking.
• Lead post‑job reviews, capture lessons learned and feed improvements into technical memos, reports and procedures.
• Support tendering, procurement and technical evaluation of equipment and services for intervention and occasional completion projects.

Required profile

• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
• IWCF Level 4 certification.
• Minimum 15 years of oilfield experience, including offshore exposure and extensive well‑intervention knowledge.
• Fluent English with strong communication skills.
