Site Engineer - Drainage

About the role

The Site Engineer – Drainage will be responsible for delivering drainage infrastructure projects under the WSP GEC framework with Ashghal. The role involves on‑site supervision, quality control, and coordination with contractors to ensure projects meet specifications, schedules, and HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee drainage construction activities on‑site, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify issues, and maintain quality standards.
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review and approve contractor work, providing feedback to align with project requirements.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and documentation of drainage activities.
• Identify and address non‑conformances, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Provide regular updates to the project team and clients on progress and critical issues.
• Support the project manager in meeting schedule and budget objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in drainage construction or related infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of drainage design, construction techniques, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in project management principles and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Valid professional engineering license or eligibility to obtain one.
• MMUP registration is mandatory.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as required.
