Speech and Language Pathologist II – Pediatric Team

About the role

The Speech and Language Pathologist II provides safe and effective therapy to pediatric patients and their families, working autonomously with minimal supervision. The role focuses on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized speech, language, and feeding programs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments using standardized and age‑appropriate speech‑language tests and instrumental swallowing analyses.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized therapy plans for children with communication, feeding, and swallowing difficulties.
• Document all clinical information accurately and timely, and communicate changes in patient status to the interdisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with case management, educational personnel, and community speech‑language services to ensure seamless care transitions.
• Participate in research, quality improvement projects, and mentorship of junior staff and students.

Required profile

• Qualified Speech and Language Pathologist holding a valid Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP) license.
• Experience in pediatric dysphagia and a strong commitment to continued professional development.

Required skills

• Administration of standardized speech and language assessments.
• Instrumental analysis of swallowing function.
• Operation and maintenance of therapy equipment in accordance with infection‑control policies.
