Store Manager – Sports & Performance

About the role

The Store Manager will lead a sports and performance retail outlet, ensuring exceptional customer service while driving sales and loyalty. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day store operations, visual merchandising, stock control, and team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve daily, weekly and monthly sales targets through effective staff briefing and coaching.
• Implement company and brand operating procedures, ensuring compliance at all times.
• Promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program to increase repeat business.
• Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge, fashion trends and brand information to advise customers and minimise stock loss.
• Oversee stockroom management, stock levels and weekly inventory audits.
• Manage staff rosters, leave requests and grievance handling.
• Ensure visual merchandising standards are consistently met.
• Provide regular feedback to the Area Manager on employee performance and product issues.
• Maintain store security vigilance and enforce safety protocols.

Required profile

• Well‑groomed, fashion‑aware and able to represent the brand positively.
• Physically fit, capable of standing for long periods and handling heavy lifting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to motivate a retail team.
• Ability to analyse sales data and adjust tactics to meet targets.
